If you were injured in a road accident in New South Wales as a driver, passenger, rider, cyclist or pedestrian, the scheme is: CTP Green Slip scheme, regulated by SIRA. Here are the steps and time limits from the official sources.
What to do, step by step
- Make your claim with the CTP insurer of the driver at fault (Legal Aid NSW).
- Act quickly: Legal Aid NSW says the time limits may be 28 days or three months from the date of the accident, depending on the type of claim.
- Keep records: the other driver's details and registration, photos, medical certificates and receipts.
