ACL Refund Demand (Australian Consumer Law Refund Letter)

An ACL refund demand is the formal letter sent to a business demanding a refund (or replacement, or compensation) under the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law — Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010. The demand cites the specific consumer guarantee breached (acceptable quality, fitness for purpose, matches description, etc.), classifies the failure as major or minor, and states the remedy claimed.
